About the Artist:

Bryan Ida was born and raised in Palo Alto, CA, and was drawn to music at an early age. His passion for music led him to study electronic music composition and computer sound design in college. His love for music underwent a transformation after his introduction to Paula Kireby’s gallery, Smith Anderson. Paula represented many luminary artists, including Sam Francis, for whom Bryan eventually worked as an assistant. Through his friendship and work with Francis, Bryan came to realize that music and the visual arts are the same expression of the soul through different media.

And so began his career as an artist.

Listen as Bryan described the arc of his career and the many phases of his work, as reflected in Bryan Ida: Life of Change, a Retrospective.
