Artists age 18 and older and school groups are invited to create temporary works of art with chalk pastels on the pavement at The Marketplace in Bakersfield. Sizes range from 4’ x 6’ and up. There is no fee to participate.

The 2023 Visual Arts Festival theme is Saturation and how it affects the viewer. This juried exhibition is open to artists age 18 and older currently living in California. Both two-dimensional and three-dimensional original works of art may be submitted.

ARTMIX, BMoA’s spring fundraiser, features an art sale showcasing works by local and regional artists. This event is an opportunity to introduce local and regional artists to art collections seeking to begin or add to their existing collections. Artists of all ages are invited to submit of one-of-a-kind, two-dimensional original works of art for sale on a consignment basis.
