Executive Director
The Executive Director serves as the chief executive and artistic leader of the Bakersfield Museum of Art, responsible for advancing its mission, growing its impact, and ensuring its long-term sustainability. The Executive Director leads strategic planning, fundraising, financial oversight, and operational management, while serving as a passionate advocate for the arts in Kern County and California.
Providing leadership to a team of approximately 10-15 staff and numerous volunteer workers, this position will also work closely with the various Board of Directors committees, external vendors and consultants, as well as Museum constituents, public officials, and the community at large.
