About The Exhibits

Gwynn Murrill: Early Wood Sculptures 1968-1985
Los Angeles based sculptor Gwynn Murrill is known for her depiction of animals which are simultaneously abstract and figurative representations of each subject. This exhibition highlights the early wood sculptures by Murrill where each form is delicately created to nearly lifelike proportions and allows the artist to explore and reinterpret line and shape.

Javier Carrillo: Nuestros Ojos
Los Angeles based artist Javier Carrillo’s work depicts close friends, family members and his own life experiences. Highlighting the artist’s ability to fluidly transition between oil painting and printmaking, the work on display in Nuestros Ojos depicts specific realities and cultural references to life as a Mexican-American.
