The Bakersfield Museum of Art (BMoA) is dedicated to enriching the lives of the members of our community through art education. By providing informative and creative workshops, classes, and programs, the BMoA hopes to engage and inspire artists of the future.

Kids and Teens

BMoA provides a selection of art classes to keep students engaged and creating throughout the year. From workshops during school breaks, Summer Camp during summer vacation, and Saturday Studio and ArtWorks during the school year, BMoA works to inspire students from Pre-K to High School all year long.

Adults

Adult workshops at Bakersfield Museum of Art offer unique experiences for artists of all levels. Each season, professional guest instructors teach on topics such as drawing, mixed media, photography, and more while encouraging discussion and collaboration with class peers.

Outreach

BMoA is dedicated to expanding its offerings beyond Museum walls. Through partnerships with local schools, and libraries children are provided art experiences throughout the county with the help of Museum instructors.

Museum on the Move
A custom-length program that takes the arts to areas throughout Kern County such as community houses, after school programs, and activity leagues.

ArtReach
A 12-week program that is specifically designed for elementary schools in Kern County.
