Art a Go-Go - a groovy way to buy previously owned art

Local art lovers have been donating pieces that they were willing to part with for this fund raising event. Over 300 paintings, prints, posters, sculpture, fabric art, originals and reproduction art pieces have been donated. These “gently used” treasures will be sold at two events in a variety of price ranges.
On Thursday, March 18, the museum will host a retro-style cocktail party and live auction/ sale of the previously-owned art. Guests can sip a cocktail, munch on appetizers and enjoy an early purchase opportunity to find a special piece, before the general public sale of the art on March 20. Cost is $50 per person pre-sale, $60 at the door. Doors open at 6 p.m. and a live auction will be held at 7:30 p.m.
On March 20, a general public sale of the Art a Go-Go pieces will be held beginning at 10 a.m. Admission is free. Doors close at 4 p.m. or until all pieces are sold.
All sales are final and all payments must be made at time of purchase. Artworks must be removed at the time of the sale.
The chairperson for Art a Go-Go is Cynthia Icardo. For more information, contact the museum at 661-323-7219.
