Kids Winter Art Workshops
Ages 6-11: 9AM - 11:30AM
Ages 12-16: 1PM-3:30PM
Members: $30 (per day)
Non-members: $35 (per day)
The Museum offers children's workshops twice a year during school-year holidays, giving students an opportunity to create works of art during their school break. Each workshop centers on a new theme, and students work with various mediums such as drawing, painting, sculpture and more.
December 27-28, 2017
The Places You Can Go
Students will experiment with different mediums such as oil pastels, paint and scratch boards to create works of art based on different parts of the world. Students will be exposed to various worldly artists and be encouraged to create pieces based on places they might want to visit.
January 3-4, 2018
Nature and the Self
These classes will focus on the student using mediums such as pencil and watercolor to create self-portraits while also finding a connection between nature and art.
Winter Side By Side
Ages 3-5: 10AM - 11AM
Members: $12 (per day)
Non-members: $15 (per day)
The Museum welcomes children ages 3-5 and their parent/guardian for an experimental, hour-long workshop. A BMoA instructor presents a variety of art projects that promote fine motor skills using mediums such as painting, drawing, collage and printmaking. Parents/Guardians and their child explore each project at their own pace and work together to create a collection of one-of-a-kind artworks to take home.

Sensory & Snow
It may not snow this winter in Bakersfield, but for this special Side by Side, BMoA instructor Natalia Perez will try to recreate the sensation of snow for you and your child to explore.

My Little Picasso
Inspired by the famous artist, work alongside your very own little Picasso and create works of art!

About the Class:
No experience is required. Early drop-offs or late pick-ups are not permitted and will result in an additional fee. For this programs, parents are encouraged to be outside the classroom during instruction. All supplies are included in class fees unless stated otherwise. Space is limited and if the class is full, please contact the front desk to be placed on a waiting list.
